During the Pakistan vs India match in the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup, Pakistan’s captain Fatima Sana and other players had to use spray on the field.
The incident took place during the sixth and highly anticipated match of the tournament when swarms of flying insects began troubling the players. The situation became so uncomfortable that both teams’ players and the umpires appeared visibly disturbed.

By the 28th over, the insects had become unbearable, prompting Fatima Sana to request the umpire’s permission to bring in spray, which she applied herself in an attempt to control the problem.
However, even after her efforts, the issue persisted. Eventually, after the 24th over, the umpires decided to take a “bug break”, during which the ground staff sprayed the field thoroughly before play resumed.
