In the final of the T20 Tri-Series, Sri Lanka have set Pakistan a target of 115 runs to win.In Rawalpindi, Sri Lanka were in a strong position at 84 for 1, but a dramatic collapse followed as they lost their remaining nine wickets for just 30 additional runs.
Kamal Mishara was the standout performer for Sri Lanka, scoring 59 runs with four sixes and two fours.
For Pakistan, Shaheen Afridi and Mohammad Nawaz picked up three wickets each. Abrar Ahmed claimed two, while Salman Mirza and Saim Ayub took one wicket apiece.Earlier, Pakistan won the toss and chose to field first.
Pakistan made one change for the final, bringing back fast bowler Shaheen Afridi into the playing XI and leaving out Wasim Jr. Sri Lanka made no changes and retained the same team that defeated Pakistan in the previous match.
At the toss, Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha said the pitch was different from a typical Rawalpindi wicket but believed that a total between 160 and 170 would be defendable. He added that the team simply needed to play quality cricket.
Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka said the cold weather posed no issues for his side, as they were used to such conditions. He mentioned that a score above 160 would be considered a bonus. Sri Lanka previously defeated Zimbabwe and then Pakistan to reach the final.
A day earlier, both captains posed with the trophy at a local hotel ahead of the big match.
