The Pakistan Cricket Board is reportedly considering several protest options in response to Bangladesh’s exclusion from the ICC T20 World Cup.According to sources, even if Pakistan decides to take part in the tournament, the board intends to keep all alternatives available.

Pakistan may choose to boycott its match against India scheduled for 15 February in Colombo. If Pakistan does not play the match against India, only two points would be deducted.

Sources added that a Pakistan India match boycott would cause significant financial losses for the ICC.The Pakistan Cricket Board currently has the option of not playing against India.

Meanwhile, a meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi is expected today, where the possibility of participating or not participating in the T20 World Cup may be discussed.

The PCB has also decided to consult Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar regarding whether to take part in the mega cricket event.

Earlier, Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said that the consultation process is ongoing and the public will be informed once a decision is made.
