There is a possibility that the hosting of the 2025 Asia Cup will be taken away from India.According to media reports, India was supposed to host the Asia Cup this year, but due to the Indian team not participating in the ICC Champions Trophy, Pakistan will now also play all its matches at neutral venues.In addition to the Asia Cup, the main events also include the Women’s World Cup 2025 and the Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, scheduled in India.Reports say that the event scheduled for September is likely to be moved to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to recent tensions between Pakistan and India.The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is expected to finalize the United Arab Emirates as a neutral venue, but India will host the event.The current edition of the Asia Cup will be played in the T20 format in preparation for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. The tournament will last for two weeks and will feature 19 matches.On the other hand, it is expected that Asian Cricket Council (ACC) chief Mohsin Naqvi will officially announce the future of the tournament soon.Earlier, news emerged yesterday that talks are underway to play a tri-nation series between Pakistan, Afghanistan, and the UAE in the Emirates before the Asia Cup, but the plan has not been finalized.
