The Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz as the new skipper of the men’s One Day International (ODI) team. The 27-year-old will lead the side for the next year.Miraz steps in as captain, taking over from Najmul Hossain Shanto, and will begin his leadership role during the upcoming three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka, scheduled for next month.
After being named captain, Mehidy shared his excitement and gratitude.“Leading the national team is a dream I’ve always had. I’m truly grateful for the confidence the Board has shown in me. This is a proud and unforgettable moment for me and my family,” he said.
