The Bangladesh Cricket Board has written another letter to the International Cricket Council regarding the T20 World Cup issue.
According to sources, the BCB has again contacted the ICC over participation in the 2026 T20 World Cup and its refusal to travel to India.Sources say the BCB has asked the ICC to refer Bangladesh’s participation and the decision not to go to India to the ICC Independent Dispute Resolution Committee.
The BCB has requested the relocation of Bangladesh’s matches and has once again reiterated its stance.
According to sources, in light of yesterday’s decision, the BCB has maintained its position of not sending the team to India.
Earlier, Bangladesh’s sports adviser Dr Asif Nazrul had announced that the Bangladesh team would not go to India for the World Cup, stating that their security concerns are genuine and were not accepted by the ICC.
BCB President Aminul Islam also reacted to the ICC’s decision to include another team in place of Bangladesh in the 2026 T20 World Cup.
He said Bangladesh wants to play the World Cup but believes it is not safe to travel to India and has requested to play its matches in Sri Lanka.
