Former captain Shahid Afridi advised Muhammad Rizwan to stop making excuses after defeats, saying a captain should own both wins and losses. Afridi said Rizwan didn’t claim helplessness after beating South Africa, so he shouldn’t complain now. Afridi also stressed that PSL founders should have stayed committed, and players shouldn’t join foreign leagues during Pakistan’s domestic season.
On his own role, Afridi said he isn’t interested in working with the national team but is willing to help at the grassroots level. About Shoaib Malik, he added, “He’s playing because he’s still fit, but I can’t play anymore.”
