Pakistan cricket team opener Sahibzada Farhan said that facing England fast bowler Jofra Archer is not a major problem.

An important match between Pakistan national cricket team and England cricket team will take place today in the Super Eight stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Speaking at a press conference, Farhan said that in Pakistan they regularly face bowlers who deliver at speeds of around 145 km per hour, so playing against Archer is nothing unusual.

He added that Archer will come with a plan against him, but he has also prepared his own strategy.

It is worth noting that Farhan is currently the top run scorer in the ongoing 20 team tournament, scoring 220 runs in four innings at an average of 73.33.

The match is extremely important for Pakistan because their first Super Eight game against New Zealand cricket team in Colombo was abandoned due to rain. As a result, the national side needs a win to stay in the race for the semi finals.

If Pakistan loses, they will not only need to defeat co hosts Sri Lanka cricket team, but will also depend on the results of other matches in Group 2.

According to statistics, Pakistan has not yet secured a victory against England in T20 World Cup encounters.
