The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has temporarily suspended middle-order batter Haider Ali due to an incident that reportedly took place during the Pakistan Shaheens’ recent tour of England. The Greater Manchester Police in the UK are currently carrying out a criminal investigation involving the 24-year-old cricketer. In a statement, the PCB confirmed they were made aware of the investigation and that the matter is being handled by UK authorities. The board emphasized that they are providing Haider Ali with legal support to ensure his rights are protected during the process. While respecting the UK’s legal procedures, the PCB has placed Haider Ali under provisional suspension until the investigation concludes. Haider Ali has previously played in two One Day Internationals and 35 T20 matches for Pakistan, with his last game being in 2023 against Afghanistan during the Asian Games.
