The International Cricket Council (ICC) has declared Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav guilty and imposed a 30% fine on his match fee.According to a cricket website, the Pakistan Cricket Board had lodged a complaint against Yadav’s remarks.

Sources confirm that Suryakumar was found guilty of making a political statement, with ICC match referee Richie Richardson announcing the verdict.Further details of the decision against Yadav will be released by the ICC soon.

Earlier, Pakistan’s Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan defended themselves strongly before the ICC, rejecting all allegations made against them. The issue stemmed from a handshake dispute and on-field tension during the Asia Cup clash between Pakistan and India. Following the incident, the PCB filed a complaint against Suryakumar Yadav with the ICC.

Suryakumar’s political remarks backfired, leading to reprimand and a warning to remain cautious in the future. Match referee Richie Richardson conducted the hearing in a Dubai hotel and instructed the Indian skipper to avoid political comments going forward.
