After the Asia Cup controversy, India now reportedly intends to politicize the ICC Women’s World Cup too.Indian journalist Boria Majumdar wrote on social media that the trend which began during the Asia Cup will continue in the Women’s World Cup.

He stated that the only difference will be gender – after the men’s tournament, the same behavior will be seen in women’s matches as well.Majumdar further claimed that during the Pakistan vs India clash in the Women’s World Cup, players will avoid shaking hands, just like in the Asia Cup.

It should be recalled that India previously politicized the Asia Cup as well. Indian players avoided handshakes with Pakistani cricketers throughout the tournament, and after winning the final, the Indian captain refused to accept the trophy from Asian Cricket Council Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.

Notably, the Pakistan vs India match in the Women’s World Cup is scheduled for October 5.
