Ireland reveal squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2026

DUBLIN: Ireland have announced a seasoned 15 player squad for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, which will be jointly hosted by Sri Lanka and India.

Paul Stirling will captain the side, with wicketkeeper Lorcan Tucker appointed vice captain. Twelve players from the 2024 squad have been retained, while Tim Tector, Ben Calitz, and Matthew Humphreys are set to make their World Cup debuts.

Stirling will anchor the batting alongside George Dockrell, Curtis Campher, and Harry Tector, while Mark Adair and Josh Little will lead the bowling attack.

Ireland will be featuring in their ninth T20 World Cup, having reached the second round in 2009 and 2022. They are placed in Group B with Sri Lanka, Australia, Oman, and Zimbabwe, and will begin their campaign against Sri Lanka in Colombo on February 8.
