Brisbane Heat skipper Usman Khawaja praised fast bowler Zaman Khan for his calm and decisive final over that secured a thrilling win against Hobart Hurricanes in Big Bash League season 15.
Chasing 161, the Hurricanes managed only 157 for eight, falling short in the last over. The victory earned Heat two crucial points and kept their qualification hopes alive.
Zaman Khan, brought in as a replacement for the injured Shaheen Afridi, played a key role by successfully defending six runs in the final over. The 24 year old applied pressure with tight deliveries, leaving the Hurricanes needing four off the final ball.

In front of an energized crowd, Zaman dismissed Nikhil Chaudhary to seal an impressive comeback win over the table leaders.
After the match, Khawaja applauded Zaman’s skill and composure, highlighting his effective yorkers. He also stated that while Shaheen Afridi is a world class bowler, his replacement has performed excellently. Shaheen was sidelined due to a knee injury suffered during a match against Adelaide Strikers on 27 December.
