Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Marsh said the series is expected to be competitive. He added that the team has prepared well and is excited to play in Pakistan. According to him, the series is very important for both sides.
Mitchell Marsh stated that this series is taking place ahead of the World Cup, and some players had been in Dubai preparing for it. He mentioned that most of the squad trained in Dubai as part of their preparations.
He said the team will come into tomorrow’s match well prepared. Marsh also noted that Pakistani players have participated in the Big Bash League and expressed hope that they enjoyed the experience. He added that he will decide about his own participation either later tonight or tomorrow.
The Australian captain further said that they have planned strategies against spinners and will look to play attacking cricket. He admitted that local conditions in Pakistan will be challenging for his team.
