Mitchell Starc announces retirement from T20 Internationals

Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has announced his retirement from T20 Internationals.According to Cricket Australia, Mitchell Starc has decided to retire to focus on Tests and ODIs. Mitchell Starc took 79 wickets in 65 T20 Internationals.In his statement, Mitchell Starc said that Test cricket has always been my top priority, and I have enjoyed every moment in T20 cricket.

He said that he looks forward to performing well in the India Test tour, the Ashes and the ODI World Cup 2027 by staying fresh and fit.Cricket Australia has announced the squad for the T20I series against New Zealand in the absence of Mitchell Starc. Pat Cummins is not part of the series under the management plan.Cricket Australia says that Pat Cummins has a lower back injury that is being assessed. Pat Cummins will not be considered for the limited-overs series against India.Mitchell Marsh will lead the team in the T20 series against New ZealandThe Australian team will play a series of three T20 matches on the tour of New Zealand. The T20 matches will be played on October 1, 3 and 4.
