Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter and former T20I captain Mohammad Rizwan is set to play for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025, ESPNcricinfo reported on Wednesday.

Rizwan will replace Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq Farooqi, who is leaving to join his national team ahead of a tri-series in the UAE featuring Pakistan and the UAE.This will be Rizwan’s first appearance in the CPL. He will join fellow Pakistan players Naseem Shah and Abbas Afridi in the Patriots squad.

Several other Pakistan cricketers are also part of the tournament, including Usama Mir (Antigua and Barbuda Falcons), Imad Wasim, Mohammad Amir, and Salman Irshad.

Under PCB’s rules, centrally contracted players can feature in only two overseas T20 leagues in a year. For Rizwan, this will be his second, after signing earlier with Melbourne Renegades in the Big Bash League 2025.
