Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi has uncovered Indian media’s propaganda.Through a post on social media platform X, Mohsin Naqvi dismissed the circulating claims about apologizing to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), calling them baseless and fake.
He wrote, “I have never apologized to BCCI, nor will I ever do so. I have done nothing wrong.”
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi added that the Indian media’s only job is to mislead its own people by spreading false and fabricated news.He further stated, “Unfortunately, India has dragged politics into cricket and harmed the spirit of the game.”
Naqvi clarified that as the ACC President, he had intended to present the trophy to India on the very day of the final. “I am still ready to hand over the trophy if they want. They should come to the ACC office and collect it,” he remarked.

BCCI President Rajeev Shukla requested the trophy from Mohsin NaqviIt should be noted that on September 28, after winning the T20 Asia Cup final, the Indian captain refused to receive the trophy from ACC President Mohsin Naqvi during the closing ceremony.Due to this behavior, the ceremony was delayed for nearly an hour and a half. Later, the organizers removed the trophy from the field, while the Indian team was left waiting.
Indian players even shared fake photos with the trophy on social media. Former Indian cricketers Kapil Dev and Syed Kirmani had already emphasized that politics should never interfere with sports.
Later, when BCCI President Rajeev Shukla started demanding the trophy, Mohsin Naqvi conditionally agreed and stated that if the Indian team really wants the trophy, the captain should personally come to the ACC office and receive it from him.
