Mohsin Naqvi supports increase in players’ payments during PSL meeting

Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi advocated for raising players’ payments during a meeting of the Pakistan Super League Governing Council.The PSL Governing Council meeting was held under the chairmanship of Mohsin Naqvi, where he advised team owners to enhance players’ remuneration.

According to sources, Mohsin Naqvi stated that since the market value of teams has increased, players’ earnings should also see an improvement.

During the meeting, he proposed introducing an auction system for players similar to teams and suggested conducting player auctions in the PSL 11 draft.Mohsin Naqvi also stressed providing equal opportunities to the two new teams for player selection, saying they should be free to pick players of their choice, which would benefit the players.

Sources added that the working committee meeting is likely to discuss the issue of player retention by existing teams.
