The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has strongly denied reports suggesting that Mohammad Rizwan and Shan Masood are being replaced as captains in ODIs and Tests respectively.
According to the PCB, the matter has neither been discussed in the selection committee nor has there been any change in the central contract categories of any players.Sources within the board confirmed that all such reports are baseless and misleading.
Earlier, certain media outlets had claimed that the PCB was considering appointing Salman Ali Agha as ODI captain in place of Mohammad Rizwan, and Saud Shakeel as Test captain instead of Shan Masood, while also promoting both players to Category A in the central contracts.
