The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday clarified that the national selection committee remains unchanged, calling it “fully intact.” In an official statement, the PCB noted that the only change made was in the data analyst position, which holds no voting rights in team selection.Hassan Cheema has been succeeded by Usman Hashmi as the new data analyst to support the selection panel, which includes Aqib Javed, Aleem Dar, Asad Shafiq, and Azhar Ali. The committee continues to function without a chief, with all members holding equal authority.

The PCB emphasized that the panel is required to consult the head coach and format-specific captains before finalizing any squad.

This clarification comes after media speculation suggested a major reshuffle, including the possible removal of Azhar and Asad in favor of Sarfaraz Ahmed and Sikandar Bakht, which the board has now denied
