National team wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal advised former captain Babar Azam’s father, Azam Siddiqui, to stay within his limits.In a recent podcast, former cricketer Kamran Akmal supported the decision to drop Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam from T20 Internationals, which Babar’s father did not like.He shared an old photo in which Kamran Akmal was present with his younger cousin Babar Azam. Along with this photo, Azam Siddiqui wrote in the caption, ‘This kid (Babar) never played under your captaincy, but you played under his captaincy and got out for zero while he scored a century that day.’Azam Siddiqui further wrote in his caption that ‘Ashfaq Ahmed was right in saying that talking behind the backs of successful people is the compulsion of the unsuccessful’, he also shared a Turkish proverb which went like this “If someone says they are your brother, they should also clarify whether they are like Abel or Cain”.
Later, former Kamran Akmal commented on Babar Azam’s father Azam Siddiqui’s post and wrote on his Insta story that his post was inappropriate and he should stay within his limits.Kamran Akmal said, “May Allah bless you with more respect and success, staying silent is not an option every time, especially when false stories are being spread, I request you to think twice before speaking or posting about me without facts. Our parents should have raised us in such a way that we never envy anyone, and Alhamdulillah, I have represented my country with pride and performed with dignity.””Next time please choose your words more carefully, there are clear boundaries and you have crossed them more than once and now you should stay within your boundaries”.Kamran Akmal further advised Azam Siddique that his opinion is related to cricket, do not extend it to a personal agenda.It should be noted that Babar Azam is the cousin of former cricketers Kamran Akmal, Umar Akmal, and Adnan Akmal. All three brothers have had the honor of representing Pakistan, but relations between the two families are bitter.
