Young left-arm wrist-spinner Sufiyan Muqeem has made headlines after jumping 11 places to become Pakistan’s highest-ranked T20I bowler, now standing at 22nd globally with 594 rating points. His rise highlights Pakistan’s growing reliance on young spinners in the shortest format.

In the latest ICC update, Shaheen Afridi also climbed eight spots to secure 26th place, while Haris Rauf slipped four positions to 28th. Abbas Afridi dropped to 33rd, but Mohammad Nawaz produced one of the most significant improvements, surging 15 slots to 43rd. On the other hand, Abrar Ahmed and Shadab Khan lost ground, sliding to 66th and 81st, respectively.
At the global level, New Zealand pacer Matt Henry continues to lead the T20I bowling rankings, with England’s Adil Rashid in second and West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein maintaining third place.
On the batting front, Pakistan’s rising star Hasan Nawaz climbed two spots to 31st with 580 points, while skipper Salman Ali Agha made the tournament’s biggest leap, vaulting 18 places to 59th. Veteran opener Fakhar Zaman also nudged upward by two spots, taking 77th position.
However, Pakistan’s senior duo Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, both currently out of the T20I squad, saw their rankings slip to 21st and 22nd, respectively. Meanwhile, Saim Ayub dropped to 40th, and Sahibzada Farhan slid four places to 67th.
Globally, the batting charts remain dominated by India’s dynamic youngsters, with Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma holding the top two positions, while England’s Phil Salt continues to occupy third.
