He stated that decisions regarding the World Cup should be made carefully, with long term interests of Bangladesh cricket given priority.Tamim Iqbal added that public statements about the World Cup should be avoided and hasty decisions must be prevented.
He further said that any statement should only be made after consultation and a final decision. If the decision is later reversed and the team travels to India, how will the board respond then?The former cricketer emphasized that issues are resolved through dialogue, and initiating talks and settling matters internally is the best approach.
It is worth noting that the Bangladesh Cricket Board and the Bangladeshi government have announced that the team will not be sent to India due to security concerns.
