The Government of Pakistan has announced the awarding of civil awards to prominent figures who have shown outstanding performance in various fields of sports.These awards will be given to those athletes and personalities who have brought glory to the country on the global stage through their hard work, dedication, and outstanding performance.
According to the details, the government will give national awards to 10 personalities associated with sports, including former captain Shahid Afridi. According to the details, former Pakistan team captain Shahid Khan Afridi, mountaineer Shahroz Kashif, equestrian Malik Muhammad Atta (late) will be awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz, while former women’s cricketer Sana Mir and discus thrower Haider Ali will be awarded the Sitara-e-Imtiaz.Apart from them, Hamza Khan in squash, Mohsin Nawaz in shooting, and Rashid Malik in tennis will be awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.In addition, Shahzeb Rind will be awarded the Pride of Performance Award in Karate and Muhammad Sajjad in Kabaddi.It should be noted that the government will award the athletes with the highest national awards on the occasion of Pakistan Day on March 23, 2026.
