New Zealand’s Finn Allen has established a new world record for the most sixes struck in a single T20 innings. He smashed an astonishing 19 sixes during his explosive performance in America’s Major League Cricket (MLC).This feat surpasses the previous benchmark held by Chris Gayle, who had hit 18 sixes in one T20 innings. Representing the San Francisco Unicorns, Finn Allen blasted 151 runs off just 51 deliveries against the Washington Freedom.
In addition to the six-hitting record, Allen also achieved the fastest 150 in T20 history, reaching the milestone in only 49 balls. He further became the first New Zealand cricketer to score a T20 century in just 34 deliveries, marking a remarkable personal and national achievement.

It’s worth noting that in the opening match of the MLC, the San Francisco Unicorns triumphed over Washington Freedom by a commanding margin of 123 runs. Batting first, the Unicorns posted a mammoth total of 269 for 5. In response, Washington Freedom were bundled out for 146 runs in just 13.1 overs, with Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf claiming 3 wickets for the Unicorns.
