Second T20: Pakistan defeat Australia by 90 runs

Pakistan defeated Australia by a massive margin of 90 runs in the second T20 match of the series and also secured an unassailable 2–0 lead in the three match series.

Pakistan have beaten Australia in a T20 series after seven years.In the match played in Lahore, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first. The national team scored 198 runs for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Captain Salman Ali Agha scored 76 runs, Usman Khan made 53, and Saim Ayub scored 23, while Shadab Khan remained not out with 28 runs.For Australia, Xavier Bartlett, Matthew Kuhnemann, Sean Abbott, Adam Zampa, and Cooper Connolly took one wicket each.

While chasing the target, the Australian team was bowled out for 108 runs in the 16th over.From the visiting side, Cameron Green scored 35 runs and Matthew Short made 27, while seven batters failed to reach double figures.

All Australian wickets were taken by Pakistani spinners. Shadab Khan and Abrar Ahmed took three wickets each, Usman Tariq claimed two, while Saim Ayub and Mohammad Nawaz took one wicket each.With this victory, Pakistan clinched the series and secured an unassailable 2–0 lead.

Speaking after the toss at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Pakistan captain Salman Agha said that three changes were made to the team for today’s match.

Usman Tariq, Faheem Ashraf, and Naseem Shah were included in the playing eleven, while Shaheen Shah Afridi, Salman Mirza, and Fakhar Zaman did not play today.

It is worth noting that Pakistan won the first T20 match against Australia by 22 runs, while the final match of the series will be played tomorrow.
