Pakistan cricket team’s head coach, Mike Hesson, has said that the final of the tri-nation series between Pakistan and Afghanistan will be a thrilling contest.Ahead of the final, Hesson shared an interesting post on social media, writing that the Pakistani team has shown great improvement since he took charge as head coach.
He highlighted that Pakistan has won 9 out of their last 13 T20 matches, which is a positive sign. The head coach added that before the decisive clash between Pakistan and Afghanistan, he wanted to share something fans might not know: twenty years ago, he gave current Afghan head coach Jonathan Trott his first opportunity in New Zealand’s domestic cricket, when Trott played for the Otago Volts.
According to Hesson, Trott delivered an exceptional performance back then, and now, two decades later, the two are facing each other again this time in different roles.Hesson concluded by saying that Pakistan is doing well in the T20 format, having secured 9 wins, and although it’s not a perfect situation, the team is in a very good place overall.
