Rashid Latif, a former captain of the Pakistan cricket team, has said he will reveal secrets about match-fixing in Pakistan cricket. He said he is writing a book about it. Rashid Latif said match-fixing was very common in the 1990s.

In his book, he will explain how fixing happened, who was involved, and what was going on in cricket at that time. He also said he will tell which former captain asked for a Presidential mercy.

Since retiring in 2004, this is the first time Rashid Latif has talked about writing his life story.

He is known as one of Pakistan’s best wicketkeepers. In 1994, he and cricketer Basit Ali first raised the issue of match-fixing when they both announced their retirement during a South Africa tour, saying they could not continue in such a dishonest environment.
