Pakistan’s leg-spinner Usama Mir has voiced his disappointment over being repeatedly ignored for national selection, despite notable performances. In a recent interview, he questioned the selectors’ decisions, highlighting that even after being the top wicket-taker in a previous PSL season, he was left out of the squad. “When I’m available, I’m still not picked — what more can I do?” he remarked. He emphasized that in the current season too, players with inferior performances were selected over him. Mir further shared his frustration over being dropped after strong match-winning performances, claiming he still holds the record for most wickets in a PSL edition. Addressing fitness concerns raised by selectors, he said he worked tirelessly to improve and passed all training under the supervision of coaches and trainers. He added that even rival teams acknowledged his efforts and commitment. Expressing disbelief at the treatment he’s received, Usama concluded that he has evidence to support every claim, yet remains puzzled by how things have unfolded in his career.
