Pakistan Shaheens were eliminated from the Top End T20 Series after suffering a 48-run defeat against Perth Scorchers in the semifinal at Darwin. This marked the Scorchers’ second victory over the Shaheens in the tournament.

Winning the toss, Pakistan Shaheens opted to bowl first. Perth Scorchers posted 155 runs for eight wickets in their 20 overs, thanks to Nicholas Hobson’s responsible knock of 59 runs off seven fours and two sixes. His innings rescued the Scorchers from 69 for six, taking them to a competitive total. Captain Wiley added 29 runs with two sixes and three fours, while Matthew Kelly chipped in with 23 runs, including a four and two sixes.

For Pakistan Shaheens, Saad Masood impressed with three wickets for 21 runs, while Mehran Mumtaz and Waseem Junior picked up two wickets each.

Chasing 156, the Shaheens faltered early, losing Yasir Khan for a duck in the opening over, followed by Muaz Sadaqat (5) in the third. Abdullah Samad (10), Khawaja Nafe (26), and skipper Irfan Khan (17) failed to capitalize, leaving the side struggling at 65 for five after 10 overs.

The collapse deepened when Kytan Crichley produced a hat-trick, dismissing Mubasir Khan, Saad Masood, and Mehran Mumtaz in successive deliveries. The Shaheens were bowled out for 107 in 17.1 overs. Crichley ended with three wickets for just 13 runs, while Kelly and Bryce Jackson picked up two wickets each.
