Pakistan has threatened to withdraw from the ongoing Asia Cup if match referee Andy Pycroft is not replaced.According to sources, Pakistan has conveyed that it will not play any further matches in the tournament if the match referee continues in his role.
PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, in a statement, said that the board has lodged a complaint with the ICC, alleging that the match referee acted against the spirit of cricket. He added that a formal complaint has been filed over violations of the ICC Code of Conduct, and the PCB has demanded the immediate removal of Andy Pycroft from the Asia Cup.

Meanwhile, the PCB has sent a detailed letter to the ICC and MCC regarding the incidents that occurred during the Pakistan–India clash in the sixth match of the Asia Cup 2025.The PCB has lodged a formal protest against the Indian team’s inappropriate behavior and violations of rules and regulations.
The protest letter highlights that Andy Pycroft instructed Pakistan captain Salman Agha at the toss that there would be no handshake. Sources also revealed that earlier, Pycroft told Pakistan’s media manager that the matter should not be recorded.
