In the match played in Dambulla, Sri Lanka set a target of 129 runs for Pakistan, which the Green Shirts achieved in 16.4 overs with the loss of four wickets.Sahibzada Farhan scored a half century and played an innings of 51 runs off 36 balls, while Saim Ayub made 25, Salman Ali Agha scored 16, and Fakhar Zaman added 5 runs.

Earlier, the Sri Lankan team were bowled out for 128 runs in 19.2 overs, with Janith Liyanage remaining the top scorer with 40 runs.For Pakistan, Salman Mirza and Abrar Ahmed took three wickets each, while Mohammad Wasim and Shadab Khan claimed two wickets each.

The Pakistan team included Saim Ayub, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Ali Agha, Fakhar Zaman, Usman Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Faheem Ashraf, Mohammad Wasim Junior, Salman Mirza, and Abrar Ahmed.

Sri Lanka’s final eleven consisted of Pathum Nissanka, Kamil Mishra, Kusal Mendis, De Silva, Charith Asalanka, Dasun Shanaka, Janith Liyanage, Hasaranga, Chamira, Theekshana, and Thushara.The second match of the three match T20 series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka will be played on 9 January, while the third match is scheduled for 11 January.
