The Bangladesh Cricket Board has started disciplinary proceedings against a board member for making recent controversial remarks. In its official statement, the BCB strongly condemned the statements and confirmed that a show cause notice has been issued, seeking a response within 48 hours.According to the BCB, the full disciplinary process will be completed to thoroughly investigate the matter.

The statement added that the Bangladesh Premier League has entered its final stage and holds significant importance for Bangladesh cricket as well as local and international fans.The board expressed hope that players will show professionalism and fully cooperate to ensure the successful completion of the BPL.
It is worth noting that Bangladeshi cricketers had demanded the resignation of board director Nazmul Islam, warning that they would boycott cricket activities if he did not step down.
