The Bangladesh Cricket Board has removed board director Nazmul Islam from his position. Nazmul Islam was serving as chairman of the board’s finance committee.
Players had demanded his resignation.In an official statement, the BCB said that after reviewing recent developments, the board president decided to release Nazmul Islam in the best interest of the game.

The BCB added that the decision was made in accordance with the board’s constitution, and the BCB president will now act as interim chairman of the finance committee.
The statement expressed hope that players will continue to play with professionalism and passion for the improvement of Bangladesh cricket and will participate in the Bangladesh Premier League to ensure its continuity.
It is worth noting that Bangladeshi cricketers had demanded the resignation of board director Nazmul Islam and warned that they would boycott cricket activities if he did not step down.
