According to Indian media, Bangladesh would lose around 32.5 billion taka by not participating in the World Cup.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board could also lose nearly 60 percent of its annual income, including revenue from broadcasting and sponsorship deals.
It is worth noting that Bangladesh decided not to travel to India due to security concerns.
Indian media further reported that a World Cup boycott could also put Bangladesh’s future bilateral series against India at risk. Two bilateral series between the two teams are scheduled this year.
The T20 World Cup is scheduled to be held in February and March in India and Sri Lanka. Pakistan will play all of its matches in Sri Lanka.
