India defeated New Zealand in the third T20 International to take a 3–0 lead in the five match series thanks to a lightning fast half century by Abhishek Sharma.In the third T20 International played in Guwahati India delivered an outstanding performance and beat New Zealand by eight wickets.
Batting first New Zealand scored 153 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Glenn Phillips was the top scorer for the visitors with 48 runs.
India’s bowling attack kept constant pressure on the New Zealand batters from the very beginning with Jasprit Bumrah leading the charge. Bumrah bowled superbly and picked up three wickets while conceding only 17 runs.

In reply India chased down the target of 154 runs in just 10 overs losing only two wickets.
The Indian batters played aggressive cricket and gave the New Zealand bowlers no chance to settle. Abhishek Sharma smashed a rapid fifty off just 14 balls and remained unbeaten on 68 runs from only 20 deliveries.
Captain Suryakumar Yadav also played a brilliant innings remaining not out on 57 runs off 26 balls.
Abhishek Sharma’s 14 ball half century is the second fastest fifty by an Indian in T20 International cricket.
