Addressing the media in Dhaka after day four, the Pakistani all rounder explained that rain changed the team’s bowling strategy and made the contest evenly balanced heading into the last day.

He stated that Pakistan will push for victory if Bangladesh declares boldly and sets a target of around 260 runs in roughly 70 overs, although he doubts the hosts will take that approach.

Salman Ali Agha mentioned that Pakistan had an excellent second day with both bat and ball, while the third day produced mixed results.

He emphasized that winning is always the priority in Test cricket, though chasing a large target in limited overs on the final day can be challenging.

The all rounder praised Pakistan’s pace attack and said the team hopes to wrap up Bangladesh’s innings quickly before focusing on the chase.

He also highlighted how the ICC World Test Championship has encouraged teams to play for results, leading to more result oriented pitches compared to earlier eras when drawn Tests were more common.
