Ireland’s Pakistan Tour Itinerary Likely to be Reshuffled Following Zimbabwe’s Withdrawal

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Cricket Ireland are actively renegotiating the schedule for Ireland’s upcoming tour of Pakistan following Zimbabwe’s decision not to travel, with the revised itinerary now expected to feature six 50-over fixtures.

According to sources, the proposed tour will see Ireland play three One Day Internationals against the senior Pakistan national side and three 50-over matches against Pakistan Shaheens. The adjustments come after the original plan—a tri-nation ODI series among Pakistan, Zimbabwe, and Ireland scheduled for January, along with three T20Is and a solitary Test for the tourists—fell through due to Zimbabwe’s unavailability. Both cricket boards are currently in advanced discussions to finalize the logistics before the PCB issues a formal announcement. Concurrently, sources revealed that Pakistan is also engaged in separate talks with Bangladesh to stage a five-match ODI series next year.
