Saudi Arabia’s Local Organizing Committee has confirmed that preparations for the 2027 AFC Asian Cup are proceeding strictly according to schedule, undeterred by recent attacks.
The committee assured that ongoing work on sports venues, regional facilities, and auxiliary support services is advancing perfectly in line with the initial project timeline. The premier continental football tournament is slated to be hosted across Saudi Arabia from January 7 to February 5, 2027. Earlier this week, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) also clarified that there is no immediate urgency to consider postponing the marquee event.
