Pakistan One Day International captain Shaheen Shah Afridi has stated that the national team’s primary focus is locked onto the upcoming World Cup, with squad combinations being systematically built to suit South African playing conditions.
Addressing a press conference in Rawalpindi ahead of the ODI tri-nation series, the left-arm fast bowler made it clear that he would refrain from speaking on Test cricket. Reflecting on recent white-ball outings, Shaheen commended the side’s dominant showing in the T20I series against Sri Lanka, noting that the team management has been consistently working to establish a balanced and cohesive unit since the previous series with long-term tournament goals in mind.
