Pakistan opener Sahibzada Farhan produced a memorable unbeaten century against Namibia in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, making the innings significant in many ways.The match was played at Sinhalese Sports Club Ground, where Farhan delivered an outstanding batting performance.

He scored an unbeaten 100 off 58 balls, including 11 fours and 4 sixes. Before this, he had registered nine half-centuries in the shortest format, but this was the first T20 International century of his career.With this achievement, Farhan became only the second Pakistani batter to score a century in the Men’s T20 World Cup. Previously, this milestone belonged to Ahmed Shehzad, who scored a hundred against Bangladesh in the 2014 edition.

Overall, Farhan became the 13th batter to score a century in T20 World Cup history. The list also includes renowned players such as Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum, Mahela Jayawardene, and Alex Hales.

In T20 International cricket as well, Farhan became the fifth Pakistani batter to score a century, joining Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, Hasan Nawaz, and Mohammad Haris. Babar Azam holds the record for the most T20I centuries for Pakistan with three, while the others have one each.

The Pakistan Cricket Board praised Farhan’s outstanding performance in a statement on the social platform X, describing him as the second Pakistani to score a T20 World Cup century.

Following this memorable innings against Namibia, congratulatory messages from fans and the cricket community have continued to pour in on social media.
