Quetta Gladiators fast bowler Mohammad Amir ays there’s no friendship or senior-junior difference on the field — everyone plays to win. He said if a batter hits a good shot, he might say something to distract him, but never cross the line. Amir believes cricket should be aggressive but controlled.

He shared that during the World Cup, he left his county contract, paid his own expenses, but after the tournament, no one spoke to him about future plans. That’s when he decided to leave international cricket.

Talking about Babar Azam, Amir said he’s Pakistan’s best player, but going through a bad patch. He believes Babar will bounce back soon.

About T20 leagues, Amir said you can’t judge a player or team by 2-3 matches. Some games go well, some don’t — that’s the beauty of T20 cricket. He thinks Quetta Gladiators is a balanced team with good bowling, though batting needs improvement in the first six overs
