Pakistan batter Babar Azam is reportedly recovering well after suffering a minor injury ahead of the first Test against Bangladesh.
Sources stated that the injury is not considered serious, and the star batter continued active participation in practice sessions.
Babar experienced discomfort in his left knee during a training session yesterday, leading the team management to conduct an MRI scan. As a safety measure, he was left out of the opening Test match.
Reports added that Babar himself did not ask for rest, but the management chose to manage his workload carefully. He is likely to return for the second Test.
Pakistan and Bangladesh are scheduled to play the second Test in Sylhet starting from May 16.
