Kusal Perera’s elegant innings and Sikandar Raza’s clutch performance led Lahore Qalandars to a thrilling victory in the final over, securing the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 title under the floodlights at Gaddafi Stadium on Sunday.
Chasing a challenging target of 202 runs, Lahore crossed the finish line on the second ball of the 20th over, with just four wickets down.
Earlier in the day, Hasan Nawaz’s outstanding knock along with Faheem Ashraf’s explosive cameo helped Quetta Gladiators post a competitive total against Lahore in the championship clash.
Choosing to bat first, Quetta managed 201 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their full 20 overs.
The Gladiators had a shaky start, losing openers Saud Shakeel and Finn Allen by the third over. Shaheen Afridi and Salman Mirza struck early, leaving Quetta struggling at 21-2.
Hasan Nawaz and Rilee Rossouw then joined forces to stabilize the innings with a 37-run partnership before Rossouw fell for a quickfire 22, courtesy of a sharp catch by Shaheen Afridi.
Despite the early losses, Hasan Nawaz and Avishka Fernando added 67 crucial runs, dismantling Lahore’s spin attack and maintaining a high scoring rate.

Hasan, the main aggressor, brought up his half-century with a flurry of boundaries, including 16 runs in one over against Rishad Hossain, pushing Quetta to 100 runs at the halfway mark.
As the momentum grew, fielding errors and near-collisions signaled pressure on the Qalandars. Avishka eventually departed for 29, but the scoring didn’t slow down.
Hasan and Dinesh Chandimal took the score to 155 by the 16th over, but Shaheen Afridi delivered a game-changing 18th over, dismissing both set batters.
Chandimal fell after a fiery 22, and Hasan followed after an impactful 76 off 43 balls, laced with eight boundaries and four maximums.
Faheem Ashraf then powered Quetta past 200 with a blistering 28 off just 8 deliveries before being dismissed.
For Lahore, Shaheen Afridi was the standout with figures of 3/24, while Salman Mirza and Harish claimed two wickets each, though both conceded heavily.
Lahore’s chase, led by composed batting from Perera and finishing touches from Raza, turned the tide, earning them their third PSL trophy in an electrifying final showdown.
