Initial forensic examinations of mobile phones belonging to Pakistan cricketers Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq have yielded no notable findings, according to sources within the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA).
The players were recently summoned on a suo moto notice by the agency, which confiscated their devices to thoroughly scrutinize messages and contact histories. While social media rumors regarding alleged dressing room leaks formed a core part of the inquiry, preliminary digital reviews have not flagged any significant evidence against the duo.
Despite the initial clearance, deeper forensic analysis is still actively underway at the NCCIA headquarters in Islamabad, with investigators specifically tracking potential financial trails and suspicious transactions. Both players were verbally questioned during their appearance but were not issued formal written questionnaires. Upon the conclusion of the probe, the NCCIA will submit a comprehensive report to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), which will make the final ruling regarding the players’ future based on the findings.
