PCB Approves Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League, Tournament to Begin on August 14 in Peshawar

The Pakistan Cricket Board has officially approved the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League, bringing exciting news for cricket fans across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The tournament will be held in Peshawar as part of the Independence Day celebrations and the “Marka-e-Haq” festivities. The league is scheduled to begin on August 14, while the grand final will take place on August 23.

A total of six major teams from across the province will compete for the championship title in what is expected to be one of the biggest cricket events in the region.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Champions League will feature several star Pakistani cricketers along with former international players, adding significant excitement and experience to the competition. Organizers are also in contact with prominent Test cricketers for the roles of league commissioner and brand ambassador.

The league is being promoted as a major platform for emerging cricket talent, providing young players an opportunity to showcase their abilities at the national level. Open trials will be conducted across Pakistan, and selected players will be included in the official draft.

Player registrations are expected to open soon on the official website, KCL20.

According to the organizers, the tournament will also be broadcast live worldwide, allowing cricket fans across the globe to follow the action.

Meanwhile, Faisal Karim Kundi has been appointed as the Patron-in-Chief of the league.
