Pakistan’s T20 captain, Salman Ali Agha, who plays for Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), said that pacer Hasan Ali and batter Sahibzada Farhan could return to the national team because of their good performances in the ongoing PSL.

In an interview Salman Ali Agha said his aim is not only to help Islamabad United win the PSL for the fourth time but also to keep an eye on players who could play for Pakistan in the future.

He said, “I am focusing on my own performance and also watching other players who might play for Pakistan later. I am keeping an eye on their form and fitness.”

Agha praised Hasan Ali’s bowling and Farhan’s batting so far in the tournament. He said it’s still early, with only a few matches played, but both players are showing good form.

He explained that modern cricket is not just about hitting every ball but about playing smartly according to the situation. He said teams need to keep a good scoring rate whether they’re chasing or setting a target, and even if some plans fail, that’s okay.

Agha also said bowlers are very important, especially in high-scoring games. “Batters win matches, but bowlers win tournaments,” he said, adding that bowlers who give away fewer runs can turn a game around.

Talking about his team, Agha said Islamabad United wants to win their fourth PSL title but also praised Lahore Qalandars for their strong performance. “I’m from Lahore, so when Islamabad isn’t playing, I support Lahore,” he said.
