The Pakistan national cricket team may be without middle-order batter Saud Shakeel for the upcoming tours of West Indies and England, as his inclusion in the Test squad remains uncertain due to fitness concerns.
Sources indicate that Saud Shakeel is currently recovering from an injury, and selectors are considering bringing another middle-order batter into the training camp as a backup option.
Ongoing injury issues have reportedly forced selectors to make multiple changes to the Test squad. Earlier, reports also suggested that wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan was unavailable due to fitness problems.
As cover for Rizwan, Rohail Nazir has been added to Pakistan’s red-ball camp.
The training camp for Pakistan’s upcoming red-ball tours is currently in progress, with players scheduled to take part in a scenario match today at LCC Ground.
