Pakistani spin sensation Abrar Ahmed has made a massive leap in the latest ICC Men’s T20I Bowling Rankings, claiming the second spot and dethroning India’s Varun Chakaravarthy.

Following a crucial one-spot promotion, the mystery spinner now sits comfortably in second place with 736 rating points. Afghanistan’s talismanic spinner Rashid Khan continues his supreme reign at the top of the chart with 753 points, pushing Chakaravarthy down to the third position. Meanwhile, other Pakistani bowlers maintain their presence in the top tier, with Mohammad Nawaz ranked 12th, fast bowler Salman Mirza at 20th, and the lethal left-armer Shaheen Afridi holding the 30th spot.

The T20 Batting Rankings also brought positive news for Pakistan, as dynamic opener Sahibzada Farhan solidified his grip on the number three position with a stellar 848 points. At the top of the batting chart, India’s Ishan Kishan reclaimed the world number one crown, pushing his compatriot Abhishek Sharma to the second spot.

In the all-rounders’ category, Pakistan’s rising star Saim Ayub remains steady at number three. He trails behind Zimbabwe’s veteran skipper Sikandar Raza, who occupies the top rank, and India’s Hardik Pandya, who holds the second position.
