Pakistan Test captain Babar Azam was involved in a tense altercation with spectators at the Diamond Cricket Ground in Islamabad after a crowd of fans breached the playing area to take selfies during a President’s Trophy Grade-I encounter.
The incident unfolded when spectators bypassed ground barriers and mobbed the star cricketer, crowding him in an attempt to capture photographs. Visibly agitated by the invasive commotion, Babar snatched a mobile phone from a fan’s hand and tossed it away before struggling through the pressing crowd to escape into the safety of the pavilion. Following the breach, the Islamabad Police moved swiftly to deploy additional personnel and tighten security protocols around the venue.
